El 10° Congreso de Conservación de Textiles de América del Norte (North American Textile Conservation Conference) titulado “Material en Movimiento” se realizará del 16-20 de noviembre del presente año, y tendrá como sede el Fashion Institute of Technology ubicado en la ciudad cosmopolita de Nueva York.

Como cada dos años, este congreso pretende ser un foro internacional en donde se exploren diversas maneras para el cuidado y la conservación textil, esto se logra por medio de presentaciones orales y de carteles, además de contar con talleres de trabajo impartidos por expertos.

Este año el programa del NATCC será presentado por ponentes de 14 países, entre ellos; México, E.U.A., Alemania y Reino Unido, e incluirá 20 conferencias, 13 carteles y 5 talleres. La conferencia magistral de esta 10ª edición por Laura Anderson Barbata, originaria de la Ciudad de México, se llevará a cabo en el National Museum of the American Indian – NY.

The 10th North American Textile Conservation Conference entitled “Material in Motion” will take place November 16th – 20th this year and will be held at the Fashion Institute of Technology located in the cosmopolitan city of New York.
As every two years, this conference will be an international forum where many different ways to take care and have an adequate conservation of textiles will be explored. This will be achieved by oral and poster presentations, in addition to workshops taught by experts.
This year’s program will be presented by NATCC speakers from 14 different countries, including; Mexico, USA, Germany and the UK, and will include 20 lectures, 13 posters and five workshops. The keynote speaker of this 10th edition will be Laura Anderson Barbata, original from Mexico City, and will be held at the National Museum of the American Indian – NY.
